Dr Simon CHONG

Dr. Simon Chong, Consultant Urologist, has a subspeciality interest in Male Sexual Dysfunction/Andrology and Male Infertility. He did his fellowship training with Professor David Ralph, a renowned andrological surgeon with practices in the University College London Hospital and the St Peter's Andrology Centre in London, as well as with his team of surgeons in the Institute of Urology in London, UK where he attained skills in procedures such as penile prosthesis implantation, various surgical techniques for Peyronie's disease, phalloplasty, organ-preserving procedures for penile cancer and many more. 

He is actively involved in Men's Health and Andrology in Singapore where he has organized and lectured in GP and public forums, international conferences as well as practical courses for doctors. He had served in the Executive Committees of the Singapore Urological Association and the Society of Men's Health Singapore, where he remains an active member. He was a Clinical Senior Lecturer of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine of the National University of Singapore, and prior to his current practice, he was the Program Director of the National Healthcare Group Urology Residency Program.

Dr GIT Kah Ann

Dr. Git Kah Ann is a Consultant Urologist at Pantai Hospital Penang. He graduated from University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur in 1996 and obtained his Masters of Surgery from University Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2003 where he was the best candidate in the Masters Examination. He is a Malaysian Board Certified Urologist from 2008 and conferred the FRCS(Urol) of Glasgow. He spent a year on Melbourne, Australia (2008-2009) as a Clinical Fellow in Urology. Despite currently in private practice he has a keen interest in teaching and is a former Board Member of the Malaysian Board of Urology and appointed Honorary Consultant Urologist to the Department of Urology of Hospital Pulau Pinang. He is also an Organising Committee Member and Faculty of the Malaysian Urological Conferences and a faculty at the Malaysian Advanced Urology Courses. Since 2011, Dr. Git have organised and moderated the Endourology Night at the Malaysian Urological Conferences. He has organised and performed several live workshops in Endourology both locally and abroad. With his keen interest, he is currently the Director of the Malaysian Urological Association Endourology SIG.

Prof Dr Christopher HO Chee Keong

Prof. Dr. Christopher Ho Chee Kong is an Adjunct Professor in the School of Medicine, Taylor's University and Consultant Urologist at Oriental Melaka Straits Medical Centre. He was previously Professor of Surgery and Urology at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia(UKM).

 

He is a member of the International Consultation of Urological Diseases (ICUD), the Secretary-General for the Malaysian Society of Andrology and the Study of the Aging Male (MSASAM), Treasurer of the College of Surgeons Malaysia, Committee Member of the  Asian Society of Men’s Health and Andrology (AMSHA) and also a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (FRCSEd), and Glasgow FRCS (Urol)(Glasg), European Committee of Sexual Medicine (FECSM), International College of Surgeons (FICS), European Committee of Sexual Medicine (FECSM), American College of Surgeons (FACS) and Academy of Medicine Malaysia (FAMM).

He is also a Member of the Faculty of Surgical Trainers Edinburgh (MFSTEd), Société Internationale d'Urologie (SIU), Examiner for the Membership of the Royal College of Surgeon (MRCS) exam and tutor for the Edinburgh Surgical Sciences Qualification(ESSQ).


He has published widely with over 140 publications in peer reviewed journals as well as 5 book publications on issues in Men’s Health. He also sits in the Editorial Board of 10 journals (including the Investigative and Clinical Urology journal) and is a reviewer for 24 journals.

Dr LEE Fang Jann

Dr Lee Fang Jann is a Urology and Renal Transplant surgeon with subspecialty focus on men’s health, male subfertility and minimally invasive kidney and prostate surgeries. Dr Lee obtained his undergraduate medical degree from National University of Singapore, pursued further surgical accreditation from Edinburgh (UK), and completed his Urology training in Singapore General Hospital before being accredited as a Urologist by the Ministry of Health and Singapore Medical Council.

Dr Lee was accorded the MOH’s Health Manpower Development Plan award to pursue a clinical fellowship in pancreas and renal transplant at Oxford Transplant Centre (UK) under Professor Peter Friend. Upon his return, Dr Lee led the Renal Transplant Program and laparoscopic donor nephrectomy service at SGH as Surgical Director. He was appointed to the MOH’s advisory committee on transplantation.

While in SGH, he was Director of the Andrology and Male Subfertility services. He initiated dedicated clinics evaluating and treating patients with complex men’s health and fertility issues. His management strategies include a wide range of microsurgical procedures. He is currently Vice President of the Asian Andrology Association.

His believe in advanced techniques in minimally invasive surgery for better patient care has led him to pursue advanced laparoscopic and robotic training in USA, France and India. He was admitted as a Fellow of the International College of Robotic Surgeons and has a Diploma in Laparoscopic Surgery from University of Strasbourg, France. He has regular invitations to share his experience both locally and regionally through lectures, workshops and surgical demonstrations.

During his 16 years of service in SGH, he received numerous awards for service excellence and was well liked by patients. He enjoys teaching the next generation of doctors and held academic appointments in Singhealth Urology Residency Program, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS and Duke-NUS Medical School.

Prof Peter LIM

Peter Lim Huat Chye is currently Senior Consultant & Medical Director of the Andrology, Urology & Continence Center at GLENEAGLES HOSPITAL, Singapore, Visiting Consultant at the Department of Urology, Changi General & Khoo Teck Puat Hospitals, Singapore. Prof Lim also serves as the Adjunct Professor (Men's Health) at Edith Cowen University, Western Australia & Honorary Professor (Urology & Andrology), HT University Naval Medical School, Indonesia. In 2008 he was appointed Dean, Institute for Men’s Health, Singapore.
 
Founder President of the Society for Men’s Health (Singapore), Prof Lim is also President of the Society for Continence, Singapore, the Asia- Pacific Continence Advisory Board and Founder President of the Asian Society for Female Urology. Graduating with an MBBS from the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Singapore in 1975, Prof Lim went on to obtain his Mastership in Advanced Surgery, from the same university in 1980. From 1987 to 1988 he completed his Government of Singapore Scholarship for Advanced Urology Training at the University of Edinburgh (Western General Hospital), in the UK. His previous positions include Chief of Dept of Urology at Changi General Hospital (1997–2000) and Head of the Division of Urology at Toa Payoh Hospital (1991–1997).
 
Prof Lim was also previously Visiting Consultant at the Dept of Urology of the National University Hospital of Singapore, Visiting Professor for the Department of Urology, Dong-A Medical University, Korea.
 
A member of many international societies, including the American Urological Society, the British Urological Association & the International Society for Sexual Medicine, Prof Lim has also served on the editorial boards of various journals, including the Singapore Medical Journal and the Annals of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore. He’s the author of many articles published in peer-review journals, Prof Lim has also contributed to nine previous books. His research interests and specialties include andrology, erectile dysfunction, incontinence and general urology. His latest book entitled “Mens Health” was published by Spinger Verlag (Lond) in March 2013.
 
Amongst honours conferred on him are the Honorary Membership of the Institute of Urology, London (1992), the Singapore Urological Association Lectureship of the Year 2001, Honorary Membership of the Thai Urological Association 2011, and the Eminent Scientist of the Year 2003 Award from the International Research Promotion Council of the World Scientists Forum.

Dr NG Kok Kit

Dr Ng Kok Kit obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 1995. He gained fellowship with the Royal College of Surgeons in both Edinburgh and Glasgow in 1999. He began specializing in the specialty of Urology in 1999. Dr Ng was a fellow at the Concord Hospital in Sydney, Australia in 2001 to 2002, where he worked and further trained in Urology and Andrology. He obtained fellowship in the Academy of Medicine in 2004 in the field of Urology.

 

Dr Ng is active in the field of Men’s Health and Andrology. He is the vice president for the Society for Men’s Health Singapore (SMHS), as well as the Honorary General Secretary of the Singapore Urological Association. He is the chairman of the SMHS guidelines committee and has been involved in the formulation of the SMHS guidelines for Testosterone Deficiency Syndrome, Premature Ejaculation, Erectile Dysfunction and Better Prostate Health. He runs the Andropause and Men’s Health Clinic in Changi General Hospital.

 

He is actively involved in the undergraduate and postgraduate medical education. He is the senior clinical lecturer for National University of Singapore Faculty of Medicine, and is a core faculty for the Singhealth Urology Residency Programme.

Prof Dato Dr TAN Hui Meng

Professor Dato’ Dr Tan Hui Meng is a Consultant Urologist in Subang Jaya Medical Centre and an Adjunct Professor in University of Malaya and the University of Pennsylvania. He is the member of 21 learned societies. He is the Honorary President of the Asia Pacific Society and Japan ASEAN Council for Men’s Health and Aging. He is currently an Executive Member of the International Society of Men’s Health, World Chinese Urological Associations (USA), Asian Society of Endourology and the International Society for Study of the Aging Males.

His research interest includes urolithiasis (stone diseases) prostatic cancer, bladder dysfunction, erectile dysfunction and hormonal changes in the ageing male. He has published about 236 articles and abstracts in peer-reviewed international journal and 14 books on sexual medicine and men’s health. Dato’ Prof. Tan has been on the editorial boards of at least 10 journals. He has been a consultant and panelist for the past three WHO Sponsored Consultations in Sexual Medicine in 1999, 2003 and 2009, as well the WHO affiliated the International Consultation of Urological Disease (ICUD)-Men’s Health and Infertility in 2015/2016. Prof Dato’ Dr Tan was bestowed the Outstanding Urologist Award by the World Chinese Urological Association (WCUA), an affiliate of the American Urological Association (AUA) in 2010.

Dr Ronny TAN

Dr Ronny Tan is a urologist trained in Singapore and Board-certified by the Ministry of Health Specialist Accreditation Board. He has been a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore since 2012. He is currently practicing as a Consultant Urologist at Advanced Urology. He runs clinic sessions at Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre and Parkway East Medical Centre. He is accredited in all the major private hospitals in Singapore and is a Visiting Consultant to the Department of Reproductive Medicine, KKWCH.

 

He was awarded the NHG HMDP scholarship in 2013 and underwent a 1-year clinical fellowship training in Andrology, Sexual Medicine and Urology Prosthetic Surgery at Tulane University in New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, making him the first Singaporean urologist to be fellowship-trained in this subspecialty in the USA.

 

Prior to starting his private practice, Dr Ronny Tan was a Consultant Urologist and Director of Andrology in the Department of Urology, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and served as Clinical Core Faculty of the NHG-AHPL Urology Residency Program, an Adjunct Assistant Professor of the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, NTU-ICL and a Clinical Senior Lecturer of the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS and has been voted "Best Teacher" (Junior, Surgical Division) in 2011/2012 and Top 10 Teachers (Division of Surgery and ADM) in 2012/2013.

 

Dr Ronny Tan is currently on the Executive Committee of Singapore Urological Association (SUA). He is the Vice President of the Society for Men’s Health Singapore (SMHS), the Honorary Treasurer of the Society for Continence Singapore (SFCS), Chairman of the Membership Committee, International Society for Sexual Medicine (ISSM). He is also the Vice President of the Global Chinese Andrology and Sexual Medicine Association (GCASMA). 

 

He is a regular reviewer for Urology (Gold Journal), Journal of Sexual Medicine and Sexual Medicine Reviews. He was on the committee that developed the Clinical Practice Guidelines 2012 for treatment of Premature Ejaculation and is the co-chairman for the SMHS Guidelines 2014 for management of erectile dysfunction. He has publications on Peyronie’s disease, testosterone replacement, erectile dysfunction and stuttering priapism. He has also contributed articles to local magazines and newspapers. He is actively involved in GP forums, symposiums as well as health talks for the public. He has served as course director in numerous symposia, masterclasses as well as courses on Andrology and sexual medicine, and shares his expertise as invited speaker and faculty in conferences in the region and abroad. 

Prof Zulkifli MD ZAINUDDIN

Professor Dr Zulkifli Md Zainuddin is a consultant urologist at the National University Of Malaysia Medical Center. He graduated with an MD from the National University Of Malaysia in 1992 and obtained his Masters of Surgery in 1998. He completed his Board of Urology training in 2002 and subsequently went to Adelaide for his subspeciality training in Andrology in 2004.

Professor Dr Zulkifli is currently the President of Malaysian Society of Andrology and the Study of Aging Male (MSSAM). He has served as Vice President of JAPAN ASEAN Men’s Health Council from 2010 to 2012 and as the secretary general to the Malaysian Urological Association from 2008 to 2012. He is the member of Board of Urology Malaysia, Executive Committee for National Specialist Registry Malaysia and the founding member of Asia Pacific Prostate Society (APPS). Professor Dr Zulkifli is a member of 18 learned societies.
